Come and Worship with Us!

Join us for Sunday Morning Worship 10:25 AM each week. This service includes both our band and choir, who lead us in singing a combination of worship songs and more traditional hymns. We also spend time together in prayer and hear a weekly sermon from one of our pastoral staff. The Sacrament of Communion is celebrated on the last Sunday of each month, and people of all ages are welcome to participate. Youth & Children’s programming runs at the same time as this service each week.

On the first Sunday of each month from October through May (except December) we host Traditional Worship at 9:00 AM. This the music at this service is mostly traditional, and our choir provides additional musical offerings. Come join us and find a quiet centre with times of prayer and reflection at this service.

Looking for Worship with a more International flair? Join in the Cross-cultural Worship service on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 PM with our Cross-cultural Pastor, Nothando Lambati. Vibrant music, scripture reading and prayer. (French translation available).

What Can I Expect on a Sunday Morning?

On any Sunday morning you will find people ages 0-100 dressed in anything from jeans and t-shirts to dress pants, suit or a dress. Feel free to dress however you’re comfortable!

We have coffee on before the service and often some goodies to nibble on, too. So come a little early and meet a few folks before Worship starts. (And feel free to bring your coffee into the sanctuary).

If you have children under 3, they’ll love our nursery and our dedicated volunteer team—Mary, Susan B., Susan R., and Miranda are in the Nursery every Sunday to meet you and your children. The Nursery is equipped with pagers so parents can be confident leaving their little ones with the team while they enjoy the worship service.

If you have children preschool to Grade 6, they head straight to the Kid’s Worship Space in the Board Room most weeks at 10:25. Following kids’ worship, Preschooler/Kindergarten spend their Sunday mornings with our Preschool/Kindergarten teacher, Heather. Grades 1–6 Students join Pastor Corinne, Emily & and our Student Leadership Team for large group/small group programming.

If you’re visiting or are relatively new to Southwood, don’t forget to fill out a contact card! These can be found in the pew backs in the sanctuary. You can either place your completed contact card in the offering plate during the service, or drop it off with one of the volunteers at our Welcome Desk in the foyer (they’ll have a little gift for you!)

We hope you’ll join us!
